The update frequency of the Hadley/CRU dates that I use to calculate global temperatures is being updated far less less frequently than previously. This explains why the data in the previous post was lower than expected. The latest available data are currently only available up to May 2025. This is a far slower update rate than was experienced previously
This also explains the why the results from the previous post were so low – Yes I should have checked! It seems that currently updates are now made with a delay of up to 3 months. I wonder why? Sea Surface Temperatures ?

Especially
Interesting ! It shows a slight overall increase ~0.5 deg with a similar short term oscillation.
The erratic cyclic variability is reflected in the monthly mean sea-level measurements, matched to local climate indices, such as NAO. Many sites to be able to cross-validate with certainty — all due to non-linear tidal perturbations impacting the thermocline. https://geoenergymath.com/2025/09/10/simpler-models-examples/#more-5719
If you use LINEAR assumptions.
Take the detrended mean sea-level at a site such as Furuogrund (PSMSL entry #203), which is way up in the Bothnian Bay between Sweden and Finland and compare against an averaged NAO index
Can see clearly that many of the variations in MSL correlate with the NAO index.
